CARDIOVASCULAR SYSTEM, BASIC PANEL
Cardiovascular system-basic panel
Cardiovascular diseases are of leading importance throughout the world. Not only age and genetics increase the risk of this, but also smoking, a sedentary lifestyle and stress. We recommend this package to those patients who want to supplement their cardiology examination with a basic targeted laboratory examination or who want to make sure of the condition of their cardiovascular system before/during their lifestyle change.
The heart and vascular system basic panel includes the following investigations:
- the current state of the hematopoietic system: blood count
- kidney function parameters: urea, creatinine
- the presence of CRP indicating the possible presence of inflammation
- general thyroid hormone level: TSH
- qualitative and quantitative distribution of markers providing additional information on the functioning of the cardiovascular system: cholesterol, triglyceride, HDL, LDL cholesterol, total protein, albumin
- the functioning of lactate dehydrogenase and creatine kinase enzymes, which indicate the degree of possible tissue damage in the body:
- the presence of CK-MB, an enzyme suitable for detecting heart muscle damage
- the process of the body’s blood clotting mechanism: D-dimer
- homocysteine level
Things to do before sampling:
The test must be performed on an empty stomach, which means that it is not recommended to eat in the 12 hours before the blood test. Drinking water is allowed.
