METABOLIC SYNDROME PANEL
METABOLIC SYNDROME PANEL
We created our metabolic syndrome panel for our patients who are thinking about changing their lifestyle, because metabolic syndrome is one of the most common diseases of our time, in which lack of exercise and unhealthy diet play a major role in its development.
The metabolic syndrome panel includes:
- the current state of the hematopoietic system: blood count, iron, transferrin
- kidney function parameters: urea, uric acid, creatinine, total, direct bilirubin
- the function of liver enzymes: GOT, GPT, Gamma-GT, alkaline phosphatase, LDH
- qualitative and quantitative distribution of markers providing additional information on the functioning of the cardiovascular system: cholesterol, triglyceride, HDL, LDL cholesterol, total protein, albumin
- fasting sugar concentration: blood sugar
- amount of intra- and extra-cellular ions: sodium, potassium, chloride, calcium, magnesium
- general thyroid hormone level: TSH
- Vitamin D level
- Coenzyme Q10, which plays a role in the energy production of cells and the neutralization of free radicals
- Hemoglobin A1C (HbAic) the actual changes in blood sugar
- cortisol as a stress indicator
- hormone influencing fat metabolism: leptin level
Things to do before sampling:
The test must be performed on an empty stomach, which means that it is not recommended to eat in the 12 hours before the blood test. Drinking water is allowed. Carbohydrate intake must be reduced 3 days before the test. It should not exceed 250 grams.
