MALE TUMOR PANEL
MALE TUMOR PANEL
We recommend our male tumor package to our patients who have chronic complaints of unknown origin and may indicate possible cancer, as well as to those who have a family history of cancer.
The male tumor panel includes:
- HCG
- Alpha-feto-protein (AFP) test: examines the presence of liver cancer, testicular tumor, and embryonic tumor
- tests for certain tumors of the intestinal tract and bronchi: CEA
- prostate tumor tests: Prostate-specific antigen (TOTAL-PSA), Free PSA
- neurospecific Enolase test (NSE)
- melanoma examination: S100 protein
- Tissue polypeptide (TPA), which occurs on the cell membranes of certain tumor cells
- the current state of the hematopoietic system: blood count
- liver enzyme function: Alkaline phosphatase
- Immunological detection of fecal blood
- pancreatic tumor examination: CA 19-9
- CA 72-4: CA 72-4: can also appear in carcinomas of the colon, gastro-pancreas, non-small cell lung cancer
Important information!
A negative result does not completely rule out the presence of a tumor, and a positive result does not always mean a tumor. In this case, further investigation is always required.
